To create a solution befitting Søstrene Grene’s unique product drop model, representatives from every team were consulted to map how teams used assets day to day, and a tailored taxonomy and metadata structure were built accordingly. Every asset entering Bynder is tagged with relevant metaproperties, so editors, e-commerce teams, and other stakeholders can filter by drop code and content type to self-serve exactly what they need, accelerating workflows and speed-to-market.
A bidirectional DAM–PIM integration means assets automatically flow from DAM to PIM to the website, ensuring brand authenticity and accurate product information: no manual uploads, no individual dependencies. If an asset needs to be removed from the website, archiving it in Bynder disables it in the PIM within minutes. Data also flows the other way, with PIM product data enriching assets in Bynder and making them searchable via relevant metadata, creating a unified system of record across both platforms.
A custom AI-powered upload app, developed with Søstrene Grene's internal AI team, further accelerates the workflow by automatically extracting SKUs from filenames and applying presets during upload, eliminating manual tagging and reducing errors before assets even reach the DAM. An automated product photography integration completes the packshot pipeline: a barcode scan triggers the photo capture, metadata is automatically pulled and merged, and the asset flows from the product photography tool > Bynder > PIM > website without any manual intervention.
